PARTI was founded in 2000 when a multitude of students asked Winston Ashby to create a space that celebrated and supported students from different cultures and ethnicities.
In 2006, after the tragic murder of a PARTI alumnus — and at the urging of the community — PARTI became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to expand its reach and impact.
Several years later, when Winston’s own son was bullied in the 7th grade, PARTI created the ExPosure Bullying Prevention program with a clear mission: Keep youth safe. Stop bullies. Build stronger communities.
